The characteristics of the spear used determine the precision and range of the shot in the same way as the power and design of the speargun. The same occurs in cars, where the engine is just as important as the aerodynamics of the vehicle, in this case, without an adequate spear, we do not take advantage of the energy transmitted by the bands.

The Sandvik 52HRC stainless steel offers impressive qualities such as exterior hardness, low memory and stiffness, which allows the spear to fly with minimum vibrations and makes it extremely robust and durable against impacts with rocks and fighting big fish.

The lengths and thicknesses of the spears choosen gives them exceptional rigidity and the same mass as longer and thinner shafts usually mounted in most of the guns, wich gives them greater speed and impact due to the reduced vibrations during flight and the inertia produced by the spears mass. Spear vibrations cause a rapid loss of energy and speed due to an increase in the frontal surface area during flight (a determining factor in the coefficient of hydrodynamic resistance), resulting in an increased opposing resistance and a loss of precision due to these vibrations.

The design and meticulous finish of the spear allows us to achieve the best results in penetration, speed and precision.

The 1mm thick flopper has been totally "hidden" in a slot cut into the spear, offering a much lower resistance and therefore greater speed and penetration into fish flesh. Placed on the underside of the shaft, it acts like an aileron which together with the high speed achieved by the spear allows rectilinear flight up to the end of the spearguns range. The spear has not been weakened too much in this area as the slot is still 6.5mm in diameter.

The pins/sharkfins of patented design are also "hidden" in the spear, which allows an improvement in the spears coefficient of hydrodynamic resistance as it reduces the formation of turbulence in these points.

The standard spear comes with three pins, the central one allows a resting point for easier loading of the second band. The tail of the spear has also been shaped to reduce the spears coefficient of hydrodynamic resistance there are less depressions formed during flight. It also serves to lengthen the life of the shooting line which can be placed in a smoother loop than on a conventional "square-tailed" spear.
