This new trigger mechanism has been redesigned by J.Errondosoro, specifically for working with twin 19mm bands or inferior loads, with an aim to have greater sensitivity than the previous version, but without affecting the safety even after years of use under standard loads.

The lever, pins, cassette and line release have been manufactured in AISI 304 stainless steel, whereas the trigger has been made with Polizene, an auto-lubricated plastic material which provides great sensitivity and avoids the continuous stiffening which can be encountered in trigger mechanisms where both the lever and trigger are made from stainless steel.

We have uploaded a graph which shows the travel and force required for the shot in relation to the number of shots made with a load of 110kilos.We can observe the material changes rapidly during the first 50 shots and continues to lighten up to around 500 shots where it stabilises at about 1.5kgs and 6.5mm of travel.

This mechanism has been designed for use with a load of 120kilos. Although it can support a greater load without any problems, max load is 350kilos, increasing the load reduces the lifetime of our trigger mechanisms, and will be a problem for those spearos that take a large number of shots a day.

Due to this we recommend the use of loads equal or less than 200kilos.

The very simple line release allows for automatic release of the monofilament when the shot is taken.
